Top companies who invest their money in green hydrogen business.

India has set a target of five million tonnes of green hydrogen by 2030. Over the next decade, the country plans to add 175 GW of green hydrogen-based energy.

Here are some companies which invest their money in green hydrogen-based energy.

ADANI GROUP - France's Total Energies SE and Adani Group have agreed to invest $50 billion over the next 10 years in India to produce green hydrogen and develop an ecosystem around it as they seek to cut their reliance on fossil fuels and transition to zero net carbon emissions.



RELIANCE INDUSTRIES - Ambani, Asia’s richest man, announced plans earlier this month to invest $75 billion in renewables infrastructure including generation plants, solar panels and electrolyzers.

-There is growing speculation that the strategy entails transforming all of that clean power into hydrogen, one of the largest endorsements in the next-generation fuel.



NTPC ltd - NTPC has been aggressively pushing for greening its portfolio and the green hydrogen project is another step towards achieving a low carbon footprint.

-The company has recently revised its target of achieving 60 GW renewables capacity by 2032, almost doubling the earlier target.



INDIAN OIL CORPORATION - IOC is targeting nearly 5 GW of renewable electricity generation capacities by 2025 for use at its oil refineries.

- The company is venturing into green hydrogen production and is targeting 5 percent of hydrogen produced by it as green hydrogen by 2027-28 and 10 percent by 2029-30,
